Woodlands Bed & Breakfast, Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia (Bed and Breakfast (B&B)) Woodlands B&B Port Macquarie offers luxury accommodation and hospitality in a beautiful setting of gardens and trees where guests can relax in quiet comfort and seclusion with easy access to all the attractions of the area. There are lounges beside the heated pool and elswhere in the garden. The outstanding features of the property - privacy, seclusion and lovely surroundings, make the experience very special. An abundance of bird life can be seen in the garden. The local kookaburra family are daily visitors to the rear patio and the occasional koala can be spied in a nearby tree. A short walk to the top of the hillside behind the house is rewarded with glimpses of hinterlands ranges over the treetops. Woodlands was built some 30 years ago and in its day was the largest residence in town. The house is a spacious residence. All bedrooms look out on a truly magical view of trees and lawns. The large and very comfortable guest lounge is adjacent to the dining room at the rear of the house. Guest areas are air-conditioned and the beautiful timber panelling, spaciousness and comfortable furnishings in the house create a relaxing ambience. There are three guest suites including the two bedroom Frangipani Suite which is partly self contained with lounge and equiped kitchen area, the two bedroom Magnolia Suite with its magnificently large bathroom and the Verandah Room, a ensuited queen size bedroom which opens out to the verandah and landscaped front gardens. Both the suites can be booked as double rooms only with the same rates as the Verandah Room. All bedrooms have queen beds (one with king, twin singles are also available), television, VCR, DVD player, CD player and fridge as well as bathroom toiletries and hairdryer. A choice of soft and firm pillows is available in the wardrobe. Small selections of CDs, videos and books are also included ~ with more extensive choices in the loungeroom. Woodlands is right in Port Macquarie and perfectly located for guests to explore the area. There is much to do, such as taking a drive to check the beaches, walking one of the coastal walks, following one of the hinterland self drive tours or seeing South West Rocks and other nearby towns. More active guests can borrow the bikes to look around town, or the golf clubs to play at one of the 4 local courses, or the tennis rackets for a game at T's. Guests can also borrow body boards, beach bats, beach towels and beach umbrellas - all from Woodlands. Tariff includes breakfast of choice - full or light. The menu consists of fresh juice, seasonal fruit, yoghurt, various cereals, eggs of your choice with/without bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms and hash brown with toast, tea choices or good espresso coffee. A BBQ plus the usual condiments and utensils are available in the garden. Great value for money packages are available which include lunches and dinners at top local restaurants, picnic lunches and other activities. Woodlands has no facilities for children or pets and is an adults only property. The romantic setting and relaxing ambience with privacy, comfort plus attentive but discreet hosts - all the ingredients to make the holiday a memorable one. It's top value and worth staying a few days at Woodlands in Port Macquarie. |
