La Clergerie - Normandy Dreams, Coutances, La Manche, Normandy, France (Bed and Breakfast (B&B)) Built in 1706, La Clergerie is a traditional and recently refurbished oak-beamed farmhouse, set in a pretty butterfly filled valley in the Cotentin National Park of North-West Normandy and close to some of the best beaches in Europe. We offer three bedrooms with en-suite or private facilities in the main house, including a family room which will sleep up to four people. Visitors also have their own sitting room with UK and US satellite television, dvd and stereo player. We also have further accommodation in our beautifully restored traditional boulangerie, which is set in our landscaped gardens with ponds and a pergola. We are close to beaches on both sides of the Peninsular, less than an hour's drive from the famous D-day landing beaches and will be happy to arrange private tours for you. We are 20 minutes from the pretty family resort of Agon Coutainville with a good choice of bars and restaurants and 7 kms from the historical market town of Coutances, with access to some of the most unspoilt countryside in France. To the south is the cosmopolitan seaside town of Granville and a fast run to the famous land marks of Mont St.Michel and the busy fortified town of St. Malo. To the immediate south lies St.Lo and the beautiful Vire valley with hosts of chateaux and abbeys to explore. With so much stunning countryside, the area attracts many artists of international status. While Coutances hosts an International Jazz festival in May each year, the area is also famous for its horse fairs in September. Local restaurants specialise in sea food, offering high grade oysters harvested from our local beaches. We can provide a full English breakfast on request and gourmet set-price four course evening meals, inclusive of wines and pre-dinner drinks at 40 euros a person. As we have ponds and the land is bordered by a river, due to insurance restrictions we can only accept children of 12 years and over.

Booking conditions will be given at the time of booking, but we normally require a deposit equivalent to one night's stay - fully refundeable if cancellation is more than ten days before the booking is due to commence. Sterling cheques accepted.
