They still do make films there, and it offers western shows with cowboys and indians, a zoo and horse trekking etc. The Circuito de Almeria is only 2km away (the other side of the hill). Tabernas offers tapas bars, a restaurant, and local shopping. 25 minutes Almeria airport, 2 hours Murcia. 35 minutes to coast Mojacar, Garrucha, Vera, Almerimar etc.
