Angel House Heritage Inn and Suites, St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada (Bed and Breakfast (B&B)) Angel House Heritage Inn was built in 1879 for the Angel family, owners of one of the first iron foundries in St. John’s. A provincially registered property, the Inn is set back from the road on an acre of beautifully landscaped grounds. These include a formal garden, extensive lawns, herb and vegetable gardens, stone retaining walls, mature trees and flowering shrubs. Four ensuite guest rooms have the amenities of a five-star hotel, yet offer the privacy and comfort of a country home within the heart of St. John’s. Two other properties with a total of six rooms make up the suites with harbour views. Amenities include: WiFi, an extensive DVD library of over 800 titles, and a bookshop on premises specializing in local, art and history titles. The original carriage house is now Angel House Antiques, devoted to late-19th and early-20th-century china, clocks, historical art and silver. Through their interests in antiques, history and heritage properties, present co-owners Russell and Patricia bring much to any stay. A documentary filmmaker, Russell spent five years researching, interviewing and filming throughout the province for the three-part series, Vanished in the Mist: The Lost History of Newfoundland, seen on History Television. Patricia brings thirteen years of experience in both fashion and interior design.
