Glenthorne, Windermere, Cumbria, England UK (Bed and Breakfast (B&B)) Family run guesthouse in ideal location to explore the Lake District. Glenthorne is a small, homely guesthouse built of Lakeland stone at the turn of the 20th century. A mid terraced house, which boasts a beautiful small front garden, a pleasing start to your visit. Inside, each room is individually decorated in tasteful colours, comfortable furnishings and matching fittings. Four poster available. A beautiful home from home. The bedrooms have been modernised to a high standard, while maintaining their own original character. All rooms are fully centrally heated with colour televisions, radio alarm clocks, hair dryers and hospitality trays which hold tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits or sweets. There is a selection of toiletries for your convenience. Ensuites are available; a four poster bed dominates the large room of terracotta and gold. Our home is non-smoking for your comfort. A seat is positioned at the front, weather permitting. A full English breakfast is included in the tariff, vegetarians are especially welcome. The food is locally produced with only free-range eggs served. Vegetables are all fresh and the meals are cooked individually to your taste. A relaxing breakfast makes a good start to the day. With advance notice we will make every effort to cater for specific dietary needs. Ten minute walk to Lake. Close to bus and rail station.
