Island View Lodge, Waiwera, Auckland, New Zealand (Bed and Breakfast (B&B)) Adjoining idyllic Wenderholm Park (the perfect swimming, bushwalking & picnicing locality), Island View Lodge is situated 35 mins north of Auckland city, 2.5 hours from the Bay of Islands, and is nestled in 17 acres of typical New Zealand pasture between the Twin Coast Discovery Highway (the main route north) and the historic Puhoi River. Beaches, wineries, restaurants, golf and other attractions are closeby. The elegant, spacious bedrooms and fabulous private lounge offer spectacular rural, river and sea views. Bedrooms have tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, TV, table and chairs, bathrobes etc. A delicious continental and cooked breakfast may be served in the comfort of your bedroom, the dining room or alfresco on the deck. Other meals are available by arrangement. Complimentary kayaks provide an opportunity to paddle the gentle waters of the Puhoi River or you may wish to relax in the hot spa under the stars and the canopy of an ancient pohutukawa tree.
